CARE
LEATHER
Leather is a highly durable natural product. Each piece of skin is vegetable-tanned and selected manually to preserve the natural surface structure and a supple grip. Its extraordinary durability, high tensile strength and the ability to absorb 30% of moisture without being „wet“ make it the perfect material for our bags.
Leather unfolds its distinctive nature through daily use and will last even longer with a little bit of care. Care products should always be used sparingly since high-fat products could settle in the leather’s pores and change its color. Especially bright colors can be damaged frivolously when treated with impregnation sprays and other care products. This is why we recommend the use of a natural wax lotion providing both good impregnation and stain protection. Caring for your bag from the start will protect the product to a large extent. However, any stains on the leather can be removed with a cloth or a soft and white eraser.
The lotion should be used against severe staining. Please pay attention to the following guideline:
1. Please test the lotion on a less visible spot first to make sure the color does not change.
2. Do not apply to the leather itself, rather use a soft cloth to spread the lotion in circular motion.
Our products are water-repellent but not 100% waterproof. Please try to avoid wetness since some of the moisture could soak into the bag through the seams, for example. If, however, a bag of yours does get wet, do not dry it on a radiator. It is best to stuff the bag with paper and let it dry slowly. Please check ventilation to avoid mould stains.
LINEN
Linen is a natural fibre consisting of smooth and very tear-resistant flax fibre. Linen cloths are dense, solid, durable and persistent. Linen is almost antistatic by nature, dirt-repellent and somewhat predestinated for high-quality bags.
Bags made from linen should be kept dry to avoid mould stains. Do not clean in the washing machine. Our products are water-repellent but not 100% waterproof. Please try to avoid wetness since some of the moisture could soak into the bag through the seams, for example. If, however, a bag of yours does get wet, please lay it flat and provide ventilation. Soilings should be brushed out. Use a moist cloth and neutral soap to remove obstinate stain. Please test on a less visible spot first.
